Zoo Media, Inc. respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. This policy outlines copyright ownership, permitted use, and procedures for reporting copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

- Website design, user interface, and user experience
- Logos, trademarks, and branding materials
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Blog posts, news articles, and editorial content
- Zoo Media Magazine articles and layouts
- Educational and training content
- Software code, APIs, and documentation
- Product descriptions and service documentation
- Commissioned photography and videography
Licensed Content
Third-party contributor content on ZooImagery.com is licensed to Zoo Media under contributor agreements and made available to users under our licensing terms.
User-Generated Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit but grant Zoo Media a worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for service provision purposes.
2. Permitted Use
Users may:
- View and browse content on our websites
- Print single copies for personal, non-commercial reference
- Share links to our content
- Quote brief excerpts with proper attribution
Users may NOT:
- Copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission
- Modify or create derivative works
- Use content commercially without a valid license
- Remove copyright notices or watermarks
- Frame, mirror, or embed our content on other websites
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to extract content
3. Trademarks
The following are registered or claimed trademarks of Zoo Media, Inc.:
- ZOO MEDIA (Registered Trademark)
- SMART ZOO (Trademark)
- ZOO IMAGERY (Trademark)
- ZOO MEDICAL GROUP (Trademark)
Use of these marks requires written permission except for factual references or fair use.
4. ZooImagery.com Licensing
Four license tiers are available:
- Personal ($5-$25): Non-commercial use only
- Commercial ($25-$100): Commercial use up to specified impressions
- Extended ($100-$500): Merchandise, unlimited impressions
- Exclusive ($500-$5,000): Sole rights with competitor exclusion
Universal restrictions across all licenses: no pornographic, defamatory, or illegal use; no negative depictions without model release; no claiming authorship; no trademark registration; no AI/ML training without Extended or Exclusive license; no sublicensing standalone files.
Attribution format: "Photo/Video by [Photographer Name] via ZooImagery.com"
5. DMCA Notice Procedure
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on any Zoo Media platform, submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated Copyright Agent with the following information:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information to locate it
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email)
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate
- Your physical or electronic signature
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
Zoo Media maintains a repeat infringer policy. Accounts with two or more verified copyright violations will be terminated. Penalties may include content removal, statutory damages ($750-$30,000 per work, up to $150,000 for willful infringement), injunctive relief, and attorneys' fees.
